Who you work with

Axel Louissaint

Professional player for over 10 years, shaped by high-level basketball in Switzerland, France, Spain and Serbia, as well as international 3x3. I have lived exactly what your son lives: seasons without minutes, doubts, plateaus that never break. I also learned what unlocks them.

Today I mentor a deliberately limited number of ambitious players. Not one-off sessions: a complete, structured program with real follow-up and transparent communication with parents.

A player doesn't improve by training more. He improves by training right.

What most players go through

Does this sound like your son?

If three of these sentences ring true, the mentorship is probably right for him.

  • “He works incredibly hard but barely improves.”

Volume doesn't replace direction. Without an individual plan, effort scatters.

  • “He lacks confidence in games.”

In practice he dares. In games he shuts down. Confidence is built, not declared.

  • “He doesn't know what to work on.”

Nobody ever told him precisely what his 3 priorities for the next 12 weeks are.

  • “The coach doesn't give him minutes.”

A club manages a roster, not an individual trajectory. It's not rejection, it's reality.

  • “He trains hard but never shows his real level.”

The gap between potential and performance is almost always technical, physical or mental — never mysterious.

  • “We don't know how to help him.”

You see the drive. You don't know what to say. That's not your job — it's mine.

The solution

Louissaint Mentorship

This is not a session pack. It's a mentorship.

Every accepted player gets a full diagnostic, then an individual plan built around his real priorities. The work continues between sessions: program, video, corrections, conversations. You always know where he stands and why.

  • An individual plan, not a generic program
  • Follow-up between sessions, not only during
  • Clear communication with parents
  • Progress that is measured, not guessed

The four pillars

A complete player is built on four axes.

Working one axis creates a ceiling. All four move together.

Basketball

01

Fundamentals, footwork, finishing, game reading. We train the moves actually used in games, at game intensity — not comfortable reps.

Without reliable technique under pressure, talent never shows up on the weekend.

Physical

02

Strength, explosiveness, mobility, injury prevention. Programming adapted to age, growth and the club calendar.

Athletic quality decides playing time as much as skill does.

Mental

03

Confidence, dealing with mistakes, pre-game routines, focus, handling pressure and expectations.

The most neglected pillar — and the one that blocks the most players.

Video analysis

04

Game footage broken down: decisions, spacing, cuts, behaviour off the ball. Concrete, visual corrections.

A player cannot fix what he cannot see.

How it works

Four steps, nothing vague.

  1. 01

    Application

A 3-minute questionnaire to understand the player, his level, his context and his goals.

  2. 02

    Call with Axel

A direct conversation with the player and the parents. We confirm — or not — that the program fits.

  3. 03

    Diagnostic

Technical, physical, mental and video assessment. We identify the 3 priorities that will make the difference.

  4. 04

    Mentorship

Individual plan, sessions, follow-up between sessions, regular check-ins with parents.

Results

What actually changes.

Three trajectories that represent the players I mentor.

U16 player · regional club

Before

Plenty of practice, very few minutes. Unstable shot and hesitation as soon as contact came.

The work

Rebuilt footwork and shooting mechanics, 12-week strength block, daily shooting routine filmed and corrected.

Result

Expanded rotation role, shot became a weapon he trusts in games.

U18 player · selection in sight

Before

Great in practice, invisible in games. Fear of mistakes, stopped asking for the ball after a turnover.

The work

Structured mental work (routines, error management), weekly video analysis of decision-making.

Result

Became vocal and decisive in closing minutes, called up for selection fixtures.

19-year-old · senior transition

Before

Solid skill level but not physically ready for senior pace.

The work

6-month individual physical preparation, load adapted to the club calendar, nutrition and sleep tracked.

Result

Held senior pace across a full season with no major injury.

In their words

The players speak for the work.

Parents' questions

What you're probably wondering.

Level is not the main criterion — willingness to work seriously is. I mentor motivated club players as well as players already in selection programs. A player who doesn't want it won't be accepted, however talented he is.

Last step

Spots are limited. The selection is real.

I mentor a small number of players at a time in order to keep the follow-up genuinely individual. The questionnaire is mandatory: it lets me understand the player before the call, and accept only the profiles the program will truly change.

  • Mandatory questionnaire — 3 minutes
  • Answer within 48 h
  • No commitment at this stage
